Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS)

The Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS) is designed to help reduce the likelihood of a collision by alerting the driver. It can also take steps to help reduce the severity of an impact by automatically applying brake pressure if the system determines a collision to be unavoidable. The system goes through three stages when it determines a collision is likely. And you can adjust the distance at which the alerts occur. See the video for details. 

CMBS cannot detect all objects ahead and may not detect a given object; accuracy will vary based on weather, speed and other factors. System operation affected by extreme interior heat. System designed to mitigate crash forces. Driver remains responsible for safely operating vehicle and avoiding collisions.
