How to Use the Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS)

CMBS is designed to alert drivers when it determines the potential for a frontal collision and, if one is imminent, to apply the brakes to mitigate the severity of impact. This video can tell you how the system works and interacts with the driver, as well as how to adjust the distance from a detected vehicle at which it will begin to issue alerts. Plus, there are instructions for turning the system off and back on.

CMBS cannot detect all objects ahead and may not detect a given object; accuracy will vary based on weather, speed and other factors. System operation affected by extreme interior heat. System designed to mitigate crash forces. Driver remains responsible for safely operating vehicle and avoiding collisions.
